Qipeng Hu’s background is in the field of high energy nuclear and particle physics. His primary research focuses on understanding the extremely hot and dense QCD matter created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, called quark-gluon plasma. Based on data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, His former analysis projects include heavy-flavor hadron and quarkonium production in various collisions systems, systematic studies of collectivity motion in small collision systems, and jet substructure in nucleus-nucleus collisions. He also contributes to the data acquisition system software development in the ATLAS experiment.
