摘要:
The transport phenomena involving spin are instrumental in investigating quantum effects in many-body systems. In heavy-ion collisions, the recent measurement of spin polarization and spin alignment opens a new avenue to explore the quantum properties of hot and dense QCD matter. Based on linear response theory, we have systematically studied spin-momentum correlation induced by hydrodynamic forces. In addition to the widely studied thermal vorticity effects, we identify an undiscovered contribution from the fluid shear. This shear-induced polarization (SIP) can be viewed as the fluid analog of strain-induced polarization observed in elastic and nematic materials. I will explain the possible experimental evidence for SIP at RHIC and LHC.  Then, I will present our prediction for the signature of another long over-looked, namely,  Spin Hall effect induced by baryon chemical gradient at RHIC beam scan energies. I will conclude by a personal outlook for the future directions.

 

报告人简介:
尹伊,中科院近代物理研究所夸克物质中心研究员。2006年本科毕业于武汉大学,2014年博士毕业于美国芝加哥伊利诺伊大学,先后在美国布鲁克海文国家实验室、麻省理工学院理论物理中心从事博士后研究工作。2019年加入近物所。尹伊主要研究兴趣为热密核物质相图、夸克胶子等离子体中的量子效应、非平衡统计场论等。发表论文30余篇,引用约2000次,其中包括7篇PRL。
